Sara Miller, RN, VP Operations
Sara Miller, RN, VP Operations
Sara graduated with a Degree in Journalism from the University of Nebraska. She later obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing from the Massachusetts Bay Community College. She joined Right at Home of Metro West as Clinical Director. As a Registered Nurse, she conducts assessments and makes recommendations to clients and their families, then designs custom care plans to meet the needs of clients.
“My goal is to help seniors age in place. Assessing the safety of their homes and building custom care plans that are tailored to their needs are my job. The care plans are also reviewed on a regular basis so I can update them to meet the changing needs of our seniors,” said Sara. “Continual education and community outreach are both very important to caregivers and professionals in the senior care industry. Another part of my job includes developing training materials and presentations, giving presentations and offering senior care resources to the local community.”
Sara grew up on a farm in Nebraska. She began her career in publishing and public relations. But she has always made it her mission to learn about geriatrics and memory impairment care in particular. In 2004, she completed her Associate Degree in Nursing and eventually made a career transition into healthcare.
“As a nurse, I’ve worked night shift in a very busy hospital on a medical/surgical floor. I have also worked in an assisted living facility and spent many years as the Assistant Director of an adult day program specializing in care of seniors with memory impairment,” said Sara. “I take every opportunity to educate myself so I can be a resource to our clients, their families, caregivers and staff members in our office.”

Bob DePeron is a longtime resident of Boston. He graduated from Bentley University with a Degree in Marketing and Management and began his career working in database marketing. His marketing career spans across multiple industries including publishing, non-profits, and higher education.
Bob joined Right at Home of Boston Metro West in 2010 as the Director of Community Outreach. “It wasn’t part of my life plan to enter the health-care industry but I am glad that I did. It sounds corny but I love helping people in any way I can and at Right at Home I can do that every single day,” said Bob.
Day-to-day responsibilities of Bob include building and strengthening partnerships with a number of care service providers, coordinating educational events for healthcare professionals as well as residents of the local community, performing home visits to clients, and developing marketing strategies and materials.
Bob resides in Ashland with his wife, two sons and their Nonna (grandmother). He is very proud of his sons – one in college and the other enjoying a successful sports career in high school. He spends his time off with his family traveling, boating, fishing, and going to the beach in summer.
Susan McManus, Manager, Client Services
Susan McManus, Manager, Client Services
Susan was born and raised in the Boston area and spent a brief time in Green Bay, Wisconsin. While there she professed to be a Packer fan, but in her heart she was always a true New England fan! After graduating from UMass Amherst, she began her career in advertising and the when she started a family, she was fortunate to be able to be a stay at home mom in order to raise three boys in Metro West. There were plenty of days spent on either a baseball, lacrosse, football field or basketball court!
Once they launched, she pursued a career in retail management before joining Right at Home in March of 2016 as the Human Resource Manager. Her primary responsibilities were to recruit, hire and train caregiver’s to be placed in senior’s homes. Because of this, she developed trusting relationships with the vast pool of caregiver’s which will be beneficial in her current role as Manager of Client Services which she started in July, 2018. In this role, she is responsible for the exceptional client experience that Right at Home is known for and very proud of. She strives to create a positive client experience at every level of service, from the initial phone call, client assessment, caregiver selection and service from beginning to end.
While not in the office, Susan enjoys travelling, spending time with her three boys, now young men, and cannot wait to get out on the golf course in nice weather. Oh, she also has a very cute, cuddly, beagle/jack russell mix named Cassidy!

Mia has been with Right at Home since late 2015 and her primary role is scheduling. She manages intake information and caregiver schedules, as well as liaises with referral sources.
“When families request service for their loved ones, they want to make sure that we send knowledgeable caregivers to take good care of the elderly. My job is to select the right caregiver with specific skills to execute a client’s care plan. I don’t believe in the word impossible!”
Before Right at Home, Mia spent seven years working in the Cardiology Department at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and four years in the home health care industry. Mia has a teenage daughter and a dog that keeps them busy. She also loves painting during her free time.
Max Hanrahan, Staffing Coordinator
Max Hanrahan, Staffing Coordinator
Max is originally from Brazil and came to the U.S at age eleven. He has worked in healthcare for over ten years and has seen first-hand the challenges and benefits of direct patient care, and the importance of quality caregiving and care coordination.
Before joining Right at Home Boston Metro West, Max worked for many years at a different homecare company, and most recently, in hospice care, where he coordinated services and staff, while supporting many families and patients during such critical and delicate times.
Despite his experience and background in healthcare, Max has a high interest in our legal and criminal system, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Criminology; however, he plans on pursuing a second degree in Nursing in the future.
During his free time, Max enjoys spending time in nature, and is often getting lost in his favorite state park in Ashland. He enjoys swimming in lakes, traveling, craft brewed beer, and spending time with family and friends.
Mark Furlow, HR Manager
Mark Furlow, HR Manager
Mark Furlow moved to the Boston area in 2015 and absolutely loves living in New England. Originally from the Midwest, Mark entered the challenging field of retail management upon graduation from The Ohio State University. What he realized he loved most about working in retail, though, was helping his staff to reach their fullest potential, so he transitioned into the fulfilling occupation of Human Resources.
Mark is now the Human Resources Manager at Right at Home of Metro West. His day-to day responsibilities include discovering and hiring the best and most qualified caregivers in the area to place in our clients’ homes. He understands that the expertise, abilities, and compassion of our team play a vital role in helping our clients retain their independence. The satisfaction of our clients and their families starts and ends with our caregivers, so he works hard to recruit, hire, and train a talented and skilled workforce.
Mark lives in Wellesley with his wife, a slow-moving (but loving) dog, and an extremely inquisitive and amazing son. He spends his free time enjoying the family, reading, and waking up early to go for pre-dawn runs around the neighborhood.
Jocelyn Wilbur, Receptionist/Admin
Jocelyn Wilbur, Receptionist/Admin
Whether assisting you on the phone or welcoming you to the office you can assure there’s a smile on Jocelyn’s face. She began working for Right at Home in 2017, and since then she has graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Framingham State University and is in graduate school at Salem State University to become an Occupational Therapist. Her variety of responsibilities at RAH include answering the phone, assisting anyone who walks through the door, creating content for media and website, managing long term care insurance, and lending a helping hand to any of her coworkers.
Her interest in joining the Right at Home team came from the passing of her grandmother from Alzheimer’s disease and her passion to help others. “I know and have experienced the concern families have when ensuring their loved ones are in the right hands and I am happy to be a part of the process that replaces those concerns with confidence in Right at Home's commitment to providing quality care.”
Prior to graduating undergrad early from Framingham State University she played Volleyball for 3 exciting title winning seasons as a Ram. In addition to volleyball she loves walking her dog, Marlo on the beach, painting, fishing, golfing, traveling, and spending time with loved ones.
