November 10, 2014, the Oregon Health Authority for In-Home Care Agencies issued Right at Home Eugene a Personal Care License that includes Medication Assistance and Administration. Personal Care Services include: nutrition, feeding, mobility and ambulation assistance, help with toileting and elimination, personal grooming, oral hygiene, bathing and dressing.
Medication Administration licensure allows the Agency to help clients take their non-injectable medications by opening the medication containers and helping the client administer his medication. This may include taking the client’s medications form original containers and placing the medication into closed secondary containers designed for this purpose. Liquid and other non-pill medications such as eye drops and ear drops may also be administered. The medication services provided by Right at Home Eugene are under the supervision of a licensed RN.
Professional services include dietary counseling by Agency owner and Administrator Carol Mosman, RD who is a Registered Dietitian. Carol assists clients with meal planning and special needs diets as part of our normal service. She specializes in helping clients select food that tastes good to encourage proper caloric intake.
Right at Home will continue to offer housekeeping and daily living supportive services that include: meal preparation, laundry, house cleaning, transportation, setting appointments, shopping and companionship activities such as reading, playing games, gardening, writing letters, going on errands and pet care. Right at Home will also maintain our 2 hour minimum that allows clients to pay our base rate for only a 2 hour shift. There is one caregiver who writes and plays music, a schoolteacher, medical assistants and a world-wide traveler.
Right at Home Eugene brings comfort, joy and happiness to the Seniors of Lane County.
