Right at Home Sponsors Local Walk to End Alzheimer's
Right at Home Northwest Indiana recently helped to sponsor the 2019 Walk to End Alzheimer's at the Lake County Fairgrounds, including by hosting a water station at the Walk on September 22nd.
Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease!
Melissa DeSutter, Right at Home Community Relations Manager, and Kristin Sokol, Right at Home Owner, are pictured here after setting up the water table. Our staff passed out over 400 bottles of water and offered encouragement to those walking for the cause. More pictures from this great day are featured below.

We Love Our Caregivers!
On September 19th, we hosted a Caregiver Appreciation Event in our office, with food, raffles, and giveaways! All Caregivers received goodie bags with Right at Home lip balm and candy with a label that said “you’re the balm.” We also raffled off some RAH swag, including:
Lunch bags, drawstring bags, thermoses, scrub shirts, and restaurant gift cards to Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Longhorn Steakhouse, Dunkin Donuts, and more! We truly do appreciate our Caregivers and thank them for everything they do every day!Marissa VanDyck, Office Manager, and Angela Walker, Caregiver. Marissa and Angela are our longest-serving employees, with 4+ years of service each. Angela was one of the first Caregivers we hired when we opened in 2015.
