Stacie Murphy, Administrator/Director of Operations

Katie Jackson

I’ve always tried to live by the commonly quoted advice of following your passion and…doing something you love, meaning, you’ll never spend another day working. My passion is people. And, following this passion has gone well.

This passion for people can be traced back to my pre-professional days. Children. So, I pursued a degree in Early Learning, teaching preschool for several years. While that was fun (and sometimes exhausting), I wanted more. I moved to Arkansas for about five years. It was then that I volunteered for a local Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault center. The volunteer work became a catalyst for my growing passion. I worked with the state’s coalition and became a counselor for victims. I wrote grants for funding. I taught prevention education in the local schools. I was able to help my clients find healing through traumatic and stressful experiences.

Upon returning to Tulsa in 2011, I had my second child. Shortly thereafter I began my career with Right at Home. I have “worked” every position in this company including caregiving. Being a certified nurse aide myself, helps me to be able to put myself in our caregiver’s shoes. Caregiving is not merely a job, but rather a connection to people. In 2018, I received my licensing as an Oklahoma Home Care Administrator. I am fortunate to be able to lend my hand in helping families. To give families the help they need to remain in the comfort of their home is rewarding. I am thankful for my interactions with all of our families and the value they bring to my life.

Katie Jackson, Director of Clinical Services and Compliance

Katie Jackson

My name is Katie Jackson, and I am the Director of Clinical Services and Compliance. I came to Right at Home in the spring of 2018 to lead our team through the process of becoming Joint Commission accredited. With the hard work of a very dedicated team, we were able to accomplish that goal in December of 2018. Being Joint Commission accredited means that we are providing the very highest standards of care to our clients!

Prior to joining the Right at Home team, I was an infection control nurse for 20 years. Being an infection control nurse for so many years meant being very detail-oriented…which has proved to be beneficial in my current position! Being able to assist families and their loved ones is so rewarding. I lost my mother a few years ago, after she went home from the hospital on hospice. Being a full-time caregiver for someone you love can be very overwhelming. The help that my family received from compassionate caregivers made all the difference. I am thrilled to be part of a team that provides that kind of relief to families in need.

When I am not at work, I enjoy reading, traveling and spending time with my family.

Tracy Sharp, Field Director of Nursing

Tracy Sharp

My name is Tracy Sharp. I'm the Field Director of Nursing for Right at Home.

I began my nursing career after graduating from Connors State College, 19 years ago. I chose nursing as my profession after my brother was in a car wreck and suffered a fatal brain stem injury. I was 21 and still not sure what career I wanted to pursue. Watching the nurses care for my brother gave me inspiration, and I knew I wanted to be that nurse that helped patients and families in similar situations.

I worked in med/surg as a new nurse, then transitioned over to adult ICU, which I enjoyed very much. I have been with Right at Home for almost 2 years and really enjoy my job. Nothing brings me more joy than working with the elderly. My connection with clients is my super power!

On my off time I enjoy walking/hiking, laughing with friends, and volunteering with the Salvation Army. I'm so thankful to be part of the Right at Home team!

Laura McLaurin, Director of Nursing

Laura McLaurin

My name is Laura McLaurin. I’ve been an RN for 20 years. I’m currently working as a DON with RAH for Independent Living facilities. I’m also an On call Nurse for a local hospice agency. Prior to coming to RAH I was a House Supervisor for 10 years at a Psychiatric Hospital for children, adolescents and adults. I received The Nurse of the Year Award while there. Being a nurse has brought me great satisfaction and a great sense of accomplishment. I enjoy Nursing because of the opportunity to provide Holistic care to patients and the families. Nursing has taught me to be humble, to be thankful and to always remember every life is valuable and to treat everyone as if I was caring for my own family. Being a nurse has brought me great gratitude!
